Buy La Braccesca 2001 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano - Italian Red Wine

Red Wine by La Braccesca from Tuscany, Italy. Made from a blend of 80% Prugnolo Gentile, 15% Canaiolo Nero and 5% Merlot, Mammolo and Colorino and grown in varied estate vineyards in Montepulciano. The wine was vinified in stainless steel tanks, racked, and completed malolactic fermentation by the end of November. A portion of the wine was aged in 20-50 Hl barrels while a small percentage was aged in 3-year-old barrique for a total of 24 months. This Vino Nobile is deep violet in color with a very intense bouquet that highlights the wine’s acidity and excellent extraction. It is beautiful, clean and very big on the palate. 88 points. Fragrant and floral with a perfumed nose of red currants and violets, medium body, a silky texture, and good persistence on the finish. It will supply another five or six years of good drinking.–Wine Advocate 4/29/05
